Pay for tap water?

Tap Project

Well yeah, but it’s for a good cause. On March 22nd in NYC, on World Water Day, participating restaurants will charge $1 for tap water that is usually free. This is all part of the Tap Project. But why charge? Because all the money goes to UNICEF to help provide safe drinking water to children around the world.

Great idea. My only question is why isn’t every restaurant all over the country doing this? And why only one day? Why not everyday?

Perhaps we can all spread the word, and the project can grown bigger each year so more restaurants participate. It is a great idea and I’d go to a restaurant just to order water to partricipate. Lady Rose, co-author Incredible Shrinking Ladies blog

Good idea! Spread the word…something like this is easy enough for all of us to do, and really, what’s $1 for tap water? By charging a buck you can almost thoughtlessly contribute to a great cause!
