I saw these Simple Memory Art (Smart) kitchen towels on yumsugar and I thought I’d share it with ya. This is a great idea that I’m sure anyone who likes to cook could use.

These towels come in pairs of 2, and feature tips and information on wine, herbs & spices and cooking tips which include handy measurements, so you’ll always have useful kitchen info at your fingertips.

How do you chill wine? What are the basic wine glasses? At what temperature should a light red wine be served? These chic towels make a perfect addition to any kitchen!

They sell 2 for $18 or the set of 6 for $50.

Strawberries in Balsamic Vinegar

Strawberries

What to do with an abundance of strawberries? Make strawberries with balsamic vinegar!

I know, it sounds odd. I thought so too. But I didn’t feel like making something that was time consuming, so I did this. I always wanted to try it and I’m glad I did. It’s easy to make, pretty healthy, and makes a great dessert.

I hear sprinkling with a little black pepper and topping it off with some vanilla ice cream is delicious.

Ingredients

  • fresh strawberries (3/4-1lb or more)
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 teaspoons poppy seed
  • sprinkle of black pepper (optional)
  • basil (optional)
  • vanilla ice cream (optional)

Directions

  1. Chop strawberries and place in a bowl. Toss in the sugar and mix to coat. Place in fridge for 30 minutes to an hour to cool.
  2. Add vinegar and poppy seeds. Mix and let stand for a bit to coat.
  3. At this point you can serve as is. I did. I ate it alone and it’s great. But if you’re tempted, add some chopped up basil or some black pepper. Or serve with ice cream.

Master Chefs

Master Chefs is a pretty hilarious yet very instructional video that you can find on YouTube. According to The Gluttonist

It showcases two very funny guys taking snacking to a whole new level. Although they’ll never win a James Beard award, let’s just say they share The Gluttonist’s passion for food.

Snacking? Ha. More like haute cuisine at its lowest. But great, nonetheless.

Sugar High

Sugar High

Sugar High by Justin White is yet another great t-shirt you can get for cheap on Threadless.com. $15 for guys, $17 for gals and kids.

It’s a depiction of what happens when the cereal mascots have way too much of their own cereal, or crack. It’s hard to tell. Sleepy, moody, high-strung mascots.

Moral of the shirt – have sugar cereals in moderation and don’t mix crack and milk.
